Ten to sixteen years of age is the average lifespan of this breed, whereby it generally lives a healthy and active life. Common problems with this breed include cherry eye, bone cancer and hip dysplasia, so these are the conditions that you should look out for. This dog is also particularly prone to allergies and need to be carefully maintained by visits to the vet now and again.
