Reasons Why Round Bale Hay Net Is Perfect For Horse Feeding

By Iva Cannon

Farm sustainability will depend on how cost effective the methods used in the operations are including the feeding process of the horses in stables. The most critical thing to consider, while applying cost saving means, is the consistency of the health of these farm animals. If in case, they are provided with cost saving feeding techniques and they become sickly, then the technique should be discarded and replaced.

Horses need to be taken care of. They have to be cleaned and given proper hygiene, proper diet, and the right conditioning, Hence, they need to be able to run around and be free. Round bale hay net is an effective solution to feeding the horses. They like to feed on hay on large volumes causing the supply to lessen in just a short period of time.

The use of such nets will enable them to save costs and time as well. The feeds will last for twenty four hours at least, choking hazards for equines will be decreased, old horses will be benefited, and eye injuries will be reduced. These are very significant changes and will ultimately affect the financial stability of the farm in a positive manner.

They will slowly consume the hays fed to them because the net serves as a controller. Some horses like to get more than enough but they are just wasting them in the process. So they need this controller to control wastes as well.

If the horses are left alone to choke because of eating too much, they could be seriously affected. Thus, they need to be given only adequate amounts that they can chew. Through this, they will only be allowed to get the right amount gradually instead of taking too much causing a dangerous choke.

Eye injuries are also avoided. These animals usually get eye injuries when they eat their food. They have to stick their heads inside a feeder causing them to get hurt. So this is a safe alternative for them to be safe while eating. If they have problems in the eye, their movements and sense of direction will be affected.

Older horses will also be given equal chances at feeding. They are already slow so they can only eat as much. With this, they will be able to get the approximate amount of feed that will satisfy their stomach. In addition, the smaller ones will also be safe and given equal shares.

The nets are made durably from polyethylene. They are made to be slightly stretchable so that the equines will not have a hard time pulling off a hay. They also have stabilized UVs with strong drawstrings used to tie the net underneath securely. There are smaller holes for the mini equines, ponies, and follies. And there are larger holes for the fully grown equines.

They are either rounded or squared but both shapes are very convenient. The sizes of the hole also differ. They are installed from top to bottom and are secured under so that chewing the nets will be avoided by the horses. This is the purpose of the durable drawstrings.
