Well, there are other factors in getting rid of pimples and maintaining a healthy face. Washing your pillow cases can help dramatically when it comes to pimples. Dirt and oils from your face that you may have missed can collect on the fabric, so it is always good to wash your pillow cases, since that's where you face rests for hours at a time.

If you have acne, avoid using makeup applicators and tools that can't be washed or disposed of. Bacteria can multiply on makeup brushes, sponges and pads unless they are washed regularly. This bacteria is then deposited onto your skin whenever you apply makeup and can cause zits outbreaks or skin infections.

One surprisingly interesting way to remedy zits is with tea. Save any green or chamomile tea bags that you have used from brewing. You can use them for skin treatments by placing them in cold water. Then apply them to the skin for 30 seconds and rinse away. The natural properties of the moistened tea leaves can heal and repair your skin.

Try to avoid touching your face throughout the day. Many times we put our hands or fingers on our face without even thinking about it. Our hands have bacteria on them that we pick up from various surfaces. That bacteria then gets in to our pores and creates the pimples that make up zits.

If your skin is breaking out suddenly, think of what triggers you could be fighting off. Many people find that new hair products or detergents will cause breakouts as their skin becomes inflamed. If you can find the source of your pimples, you can stop them before they start.

Instead of investing in an expensive cream for zits, look around at products you already have that may help alleviate breakouts. At night before you go to bed try dabbing a small amount of toothpaste, yes toothpaste, on your blemish. This will help you resist the urge to squeeze the pimples, and you will wake up with lessened redness and irritation.

Fighting zits should be a whole body approach, instead of just applying medicated creams at night. Look into cutting down on, or cutting out entirely, foods that cause inflammation. The two foods that you'll most want to watch out for are milk and refined sugar. Reducing your consumption of these should help your body strengthen its internal approach to fighting pimples.

If your skin is pimples prone, try using as many spray products as possible. When you apply product with your hands, you are also spreading oils and bacteria that will clog your pores. Using spray products will allow you to keep your hands away, keeping your face nice and clean.
